Warriors Pre Season + Broadcast Schedule

Warriors Pre Season Schedule

The West Kelowna Warriors return to the ice on Monday and as being the new voice of the club for the 2016/17 season, I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Trevor Miller and this will mark my 4th season in the BCHL, my previous three were spent as a colour commentator for the Penticton Vees. I also worked as the broadcaster for BC Major Midget League’s Okanagan Rockets for three seasons, calling a Pacific Regional Championship in 2014 in Red Deer, Alberta. I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to broadcast for a team coming off of such an unforgettable season last year and will be the defending national champions this season.

This blog will have everything you need to know about the Warriors including game previews and recaps, interviews with past and present Warriors and plenty more content to keep you in the loop of what is happening in West Kelowna.

Even though it is a scorching 33 degrees outside, and it may be hard to believe, but hockey is just around the corner to returning to Royal LePage Place. Warriors main camp kicks off on Monday before West Kelowna starts their pre season schedule on Wednesday, August 24th. Here’s a closer look at the Warriors pre season schedule:

Wednesday, August 24th – Penticton Vees (South Okanagan Events Centre – 7:00 PM)

Friday, August 26th – Salmon Arm Silverbacks (Royal LePage Place – 7:00 PM)

Saturday, August 27th – Salmon Arm Silverbacks (Shaw Centre – 7:00 PM)

Wednesday, August 31st – Penticton Vees (Royal LePage Place – 7:00 PM)

Friday, September 2nd – Merritt Centennials (Royal LePage Place – 7:00 PM)

Saturday, September 3rd – Merritt Centennials (Nicola Valley Memorial Arena – 7:00 PM

I’m excited to announce that there will be three pre season broadcasts as Sheldon Bank (my broadcast partner) and I will be covering each of the Warriors home games this pre season, which can be seen on FASTHockey and heard online for free through the Warriors Internet Network.

All of this setting up for what should be an amazing night on September 9th when the Warriors will raise four banners to the rafters at RLP as being Interior Division Champions, BC Hockey League Champions, Western Canada Cup Champions, and RBC Cup National Champions!
