Warriors, ‘Backs Rematch In The Jungle

West Kelowna Shield Logo vs. Salmon Arm Silverbacks

The Warriors will look to sweep the two game set tonight against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the North Shuswap at the Shaw Centre.

West Kelowna got goals from Parm Dhaliwal and the eventual game winner coming from Matthew Rutigliano in the 2nd period to beat the ‘Backs last night. It was a strong team effort from a lineup that had a few veterans in the lineup, notably Reed Gunville and captain Nick Rutigliano, and had a line of Dhaliwal, Chase Dubois and Mitch Martan that looked excellent.

The trio will be back again in tonight’s lineup as well as veterans Quin Foreman, Jared Marino, Connor Sodergren and Tyler Anderson. All four RBC Cup Champions will dress for the Warriors tonight, as well as recruits Daly Hamilton and newly acquired centremen from Victoria Mitch Barker. The Warriors will start Matt Vernon in goal for tonight’s game and will have to see if they switch as they have in the first two games halfway through.

The game will be on FASTHockey live pay-per-view tonight while you can also follow along with the Warriors Twitter and Facebook pages. The Warriors next action, and our next broadcast, will be Wednesday, August 31st when the Penticton Vees come to Royal LePage Place.
